Brad Cole Construction Receives Southern Company Triangle Safety Award Ten Years Running

Honorable Mention for the National Utility and Excavation Contractors 2015 William H. Feather Safety Award. National Utility Contractors Association, NUCA, serves utility and excavation construction companies and the companies that supply the equipment, supplies, and materials necessary to build and maintain the nation’s network of underground infrastructure. Winners are chosen on the basis if incidence rate (OSHA Form 300 log), company safety statement and company safety program.

2015 Georgia Utility Contractors Association’s Hard Hat Safety Award for the 100,000+ Man-Hours Pipeline Division Category. Georgia Utility Contractors Association, Inc. (GUCA) is a construction trade association representing the underground utility construction industry. GUCA has been in business for more than 40 years. The goal of the association is to be the voice of the underground utility construction industry while providing exclusive benefits for members.  

The Southern Company Triangle Safety Award is earned annually by a select few construction contractors. Active contractors with an annual minimum of 100,000 man-hours on Southern Company projects are eligible.  In 2011, out of the 190 eligible contractors, BCC was one of only six contractors to receive the award.  In 2014, BCC became the only contractor to earn the Triangle Safety Award for eight consecutive years – 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. The William H. Feather Safety Award is given annually by the National Utility and Excavation Contractors Association (NUCA). This national award recognizes a NUCA utility contractor member with exemplary safety achievements and contributions in underground utility construction and excavation. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Celebrate Safety Award recognizes those construction contractors who strive for constant improvement in safety programs and procedures on USACE projects. In 2010, BCC was recognized with the Celebrate Safety Award.
